SALINA, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan’s momentum continued with Tuesday’s announcement of an agreement with Stephanie Moyer, one of Fast Track Racing’s drivers in the ARCA Menards Series. The university will serve as an associate sponsor on Moyer’s car during the Sunset Hill Shooting Range 150, set for July 21 in Pocono, Pa.
Qualifying is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., with the race to be held later that evening at 6. Fans can watch the race free of charge on FS1 or via subscription at floracing.com.
“This opportunity has multiple benefits for KWU,” said Brad Salois, director of marketing and communications. “It is a chance to get exposure in a unique, nationally televised fashion, and those opportunities are rare. It is also a real, tangible chance to support the growth of diversity and inclusion. Creating opportunities for under-represented groups is important to Kansas Wesleyan. Stephanie is one of the rare female drivers in national NASCAR-affiliated series, and we hope this sponsorship helps her have a strong race at Pocono.”
The KWU logo and website will be featured on the rear bumper of Moyer’s car and should be visible to in-car cameras during the race.
Moyer finished the 2022 season fourth in points in the ARCA Menards Series East, the highest-ever finish by a female driver in that division. Her 2023 season includes a part-time schedule in the national ARCA Menards Series.
The university’s affiliation with Moyer is its first foray into on-track racing sponsorship following 18 months of supporting a local iRacing effort — Riggs Racing — in the world of esports.
